Correct Footwear Vinyl Wall Quote

Give a girl the correct footwear and she can conquer the world! 

That is such a great quote but there is some debate of who actually said it. Some people accredit it to Bette Midler while others say Marylin Monroe said it. There is also another variant that goes "Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world." 

       We have that quote available as a vinyl wall lettering design in our store, Walls That Talk, and until recently we used a high heel as the highlighted footwear. A simple question from a customer opened up a whole new line of "correct footwear"! We were contacted by a customer wanting to know if we could do a different shoe and I told her that we could, and then asked what type of shoe she had in mind. She was wanting to see a cowboy boot or, even better, a firefighter boot since she was a firefighter and it was hard to find girlie stuff for that. So as I'm drawing a design to accommodate her request I'm thinking of all the other shoes that are out there and that maybe a whole line of footwear choices would be a great idea! Here is what we came up with for her request!

 

  As you can see we now offer a choice of footwear to go with the quote! You can choose the high heel, the running sport shoe, the ballerina dancing slippers, a cowgirl boot and or the firefighter boot! Wonder if there is another type of shoe to be added to the collection?

Vinyl Family Tree Kit is a Bargain

  This week our blogging theme at ESN is to write about a BARGAIN and have I got a bargain for you. (How come I suddenly feel like a used car salesman?) Have you seen those cut vinyl wall graphics of a really tall tree, at least 5 feet tall, with lots of branches and leaves and costs at least $100 bucks or more? Yes they are expensive because they use a lot of materials to cover that much space but our alternative to that "look" is our NEW Family Tree Kit. At less than half the cost of those big trees you can get the look of a full tree using your own photos and placing the branches and other pieces included in the kit to fill the area out. If you have a big wall above your sofa this arrangement would be great! I created the sample arrangement and the area of space that it fills is 57 inches wide by 54 inches tall.

  Still need a tall tree, no problem, just arrange your photos and pieces of the Family Tree Kit and you have a tree arrangement that covers a space 74 inches tall by 34 inches wide! (as shown below)

Flying Cows

 This week our blogging theme at ESN is the MOON and that made me think of how fun and silly nursery rhymes can  really be. Take for instance the nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle", we all know that cows can not really jump over the moon but in a nursery rhyme anything is possible!     "Hey Diddle Diddle" is a fantasy rhyme designed to delight children with impossible images such "the Cow jumped over the Moon"!  The term ' Hey diddle diddle'  can be found in the works of Shakespeare. The original title was 'High Diddle Diddle' but this has been altered to 'Hey Diddle Diddle' over the years with changes to the English language. The first known date of publication for the words of the "Hey Diddle Diddle" rhyme is 1765.
